Frequently asked questions
What is the KD-22HUCPro? A 2×1 4K/18G HDMI switcher and USB 3.0 audio+video capture device with XLR mic input, HDMI pass-through, and CEC control — ideal for lecture capture, hybrid classrooms, and game/e-sports streaming.
Does the KD-22HUCPro work with OBS and Zoom? Yes. It appears as a USB video and USB audio device, so it works as a capture source in OBS and as a camera/microphone in Zoom, Teams, and Meet.
Can I connect an XLR microphone directly? Yes — the XLR input supports studio condenser mics with optional phantom power, no external pre-amp needed. Levels are set in KDCam.
What resolution does the USB capture output? HDMI passes through at up to 4K/18G while the USB 3.0 capture is auto-converted to 1080p at a selectable frame rate up to 60 fps, with under 100 ms latency.
Why won't capture work on my USB 2.0 port? The AV Capture output requires USB 3.0 — USB 2.0 ports/cables are not supported for capture. Use the included USB 3.0 A-to-A cable.
